Nicholas Pierce

Director of Investigations

Nicholas Pierce joined Block & Leviton in April 2024 as the Director of Investigations, where he plays a critical role in overseeing corporate governance compliance and investigations. His work focuses on board and executive accountability in key areas such as mergers and acquisitions, corporate trauma events, insider trading, stockholder rights violations, self-dealing, proxy fights, regulatory violations and other special situations.  With a deep understanding of both legal and investigatory frameworks, Nicholas identifies and creates new cases for the firm while bolstering ongoing litigation with precise, detailed investigative support.

Before joining Block & Leviton, Nicholas served as the principal investigator at Bernstein Litowitz Berger & Grossmann, where he spearheaded investigations for high-stakes corporate governance cases, contributing to several multimillion-dollar victories for stockholders. His expertise in navigating complex corporate dynamics was a key asset to the firm’s success.

Earlier in his career, Nicholas refined his investigative skills at the Mintz Group, a global leader in due diligence and litigation support, and J3 Global, where he worked under the mentorship of former FBI Special Agent In-Charge, Jim DiOrio, focusing on white-collar crime, corporate fraud, and threat assessments.

Nicholas began his legal career at Tacopina Seigel & DeOreo, working with a renowned criminal defense team on high-profile cases. He earned his law degree from Roger Williams University Law School in 2019 and combines his legal expertise with extensive investigative acumen to support Block & Leviton’s strategic litigation efforts.
